P2000 & P191 Codes

22012 Ram 3500 Diesel - 125000 miles

Check engine light on. Used my OBDII reader and it shows P191 & P2000 codes. I cleared the codes and after three weeks the P2000 code has returned. The P191 code is not on.

A google search tells me that this may be an expensive fix. Possible catalytic converter.

Any and all thoughts appreciated.

What are the Common Causes of the P2000 Code?

• Faulty oxygen sensor or NOx sensor
• Bad or overloaded NOx adsorber catalyst
• Faulty mass air flow sensor
• Exhaust or intake leaks
• Circuit issues, such as a damaged wire or poor connection
• A PCM issue, such as software in need of an update

What are the other symptoms that you are experiencing? When was the last time you had a software flash done? Just because you had a code pop up, doesn't mean it's gonna hit you in the wallet. Batteries can cause gremlins as they age. More info needed to help with fix. We're here to help one another with just such issues!

Good point, many software glitches were corrected through updates.
