Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) P2016 code, where did it go

This is probably a stupid question for those who are mechanically inclined.



Yesterday, I found the P2016 code on my 02 truck. Checked it a few times, and it still came up. So, this morning I removed my ez box and drove to the dealer to check out the injection pump.



Well, just for grins. Just before I pulled into the dealer, I checked to see if I still had the code. I wondered if removing the ez might change something (dont even know why that occured to me)



When I checked for codes this time, the 0216 was GONE !!! Can anyone tell me if removing the ez could reset the code, or make it not show up from clicking the key 3 times ? Or if the ez had a problem, can it make the 0216 code come up ?



I decided to see if I can figure out why the code went away before I let the dealer look at my truck. If they dont find anything, they will charge me $100.

I haven't heard of the EZ setting the 0216.



If the code only happened once, it will clear after a few starts. That might be what happened.
