I lost power the other day, code P2146 popped up. No issues since. I read up on the P2146 threads, checked the connectors, pulled the rocker cover. Nothing seems off, no bare wires, runs fine now.

When you pull the cover, is there anything to look at in paticular? I guess it will pop up again maybe, I would like to fix it before I'm far from home. I do have a Edge with Attitude, I changed it back to stock or 0 mode with no change. The engine light went off after the third restart, it has full power again.

I have the rocker cover off now, can't find anything wrong. Connectors are fine, wires look fine, runs fine now... . Only have 102K on it... .

I do have a VOM, just can't find anything to fix. :{

The edge can cause it since the harness ties into the injector harness. While you have the cover off ohm out the injectors

Yeah, I haven't tested the injectors yet. I'm going to take a second look with a VOM in the morning when the temp is more agreeable. The wiring looks fine though. All the connectors were clean inside, no corrosion seen.

The engine was hot when it stumbled while going up an on ramp. Though it has not done it again this week even on rough dirt roads.

I should check the valves too while I have the cover off.

My 2004. 5 seemed to set this code occasionally when I had the Edge Attitude and Juice box attached. A stop and restart always seemd to reset it back to normal power though. I'm running a Smarty now and the condition has never repeated itself. Didn't really seem to do any harm or anything just a bit of an annoyance. Oh yeah, I always had to reset the code with a scanner or wait for about 3 trips or so.

A recommendation would be to reseat all the injector connections. I took mine apart and added some dielectric grease to the connections thinking some corrosion may have formed causing erratic signals like sometimes happens on boat guages.

:confused:

Well, everything ohms out fine again, maybe it was a dirty connector. I reseated all the connectors and the Edge Attitude connections are clean. The front connector had one "pole" covered in black oil gunk. The wire harness looked great under the cover.

I've looked at it twice now, I just hate not finding anything obvious... Maybe it was the dirty connector, but I doubt it. It wasn't corroded, just a bit oiled from the breather thing weeping.

Time will tell...
