If Money was not a problem?!?!

My '07 5. 9 started running real rough while stopped at a light yesterday and I noticed the CEL was on. I limped in to a fuel station and fueled up, thinking I might be getting close to empty. My overhead showed 60 miles to empty, and I regularly go that low and lower. I plugged Smarty Jr. in and took it back down to stock from the #3. That didn't help. The fuel-up helped some. While I had Jr. hooked up, I retrieved Code P2147 and cleared it. I then made it to a parts store, purchased a fuel filter and installed it. That didn't help. Cleared the code again. Called the service manager and found that the code was "voltage error on #2 injectors bank". I started it back up and the CEL didn't return and I have driven about 200 miles since, with no recurrance. I did stop at a dealer in the area I was working and talked to the tech and she said it was a malfunctioning injector, maybe trash, and when one goes, it takes 2 more with it. She said it wasn't a big problem and could be fixed while I wait, if I could get it in while the CEL was displayed. Has anyone experienced anything similar?

It is not good to run your tank low to empty all the time. One, you can suck up any junk in the bottom of your tank and two, you will greatly shorten the life of the in-tank fuel pump. The fuel pump uses fuel around it to keep it cool.

Injector codes are more often than not electrical issues. On your model it could even be as simple as the v/cover gasket
