P2149 @ 98k

Last week I lost hp on the hwy and stumbled home for 20 miles. CEL called out P2149. So, went to the dealership later in the week since my 2005 has about 98K on the odo. Anticipating warranty repair of course. I borrowed a GMC dually in the mean time (really nice allison trans... geeez). In the end over a week later, Dodge replaced all six injectors after finding three lazy ones using their scanner (4 & 6 were @97%. The others were 105%). All I paid was a 100. 00 deductible. SWEET!



Why a week later? Because I'm working and can't pick up the truck/drop it off at the dealership. Dodge did the work today! I went in a 8:00 am and left at 2:00 PM dialed in. "Dodged" a bullet or what! yowweee!

probabaly lost a solenoid on 4,5,or 6 injector, cost about 30 dollars to fix it, next time that happens, use a digital multi meter and ohm out the inj solenoids, of course time and place permitting and more than likely you will find one or more with a higher than the rest ohm reading pointing at a faulty solenoid. , glad to hear you got a set of injectors for 100 bucks though, as far as that allison goes i will agree i just rode in my uncles new gmc and that is a nice truck, the only thing i didnt like was the 13 mpg and the cup holder in the back, but it did get up and haul a-- for a stock truck.

Your right. I considered a bad solenoid, and only after the dealership told me they wouldn't warranty the repair would I get my ohm meter out. The next time this happens... it won't be under warranty. The dealership told me the "misfire" was on injector 6. After driving the GMC, I was happy to be back in my truck. Mine steers better, throttle response is better and road feel is just better.
