P246F code.

I did a search but did not come up with anything. Google does not come up with much of anything either. The truck in question is a 2011 6.7 cab and chassis, 100% stock with almost 70k on it. CEL is on and my code reader is giving me a P246F. Looks to be a egt sensor. Any insight to this one?

Hmm ok that’s more than I found online. Do you think this is the 4th one down the exhaust past the turbo?

This is all I could find on the location. Looks like the pickup and the C&C is different.

These are actually CONNECTOR locations. I don't know how long the sensor wire is and where the sensor is actually located.

That’s perfect, thanks for the info. We had the #4 (rearmost) sensor replaced 2 weeks ago. Oh well, back it goes. I’ll up date with a final report of the root cause for future searches.

Actually my mistake, truck was just in and they replaced the NOx sensor..

I ended up with a echlin from Napa. Installed yesterday and cleared the code. Will monitor for a week or so before claiming success.

It’s been a few weeks and no CEL. It seems the EGT sensor at the back of the scr was the fix for the 246F code.
