By luck I was able to pull the injection pump and inlectors off of a junk engine at work which has a 1552 CPL and is rated at 210hp at 2300rpm and 520tq at 1600rpm. I currently have a 95 auto with the 160hp, 10plate, 3GSK, boost elbow ect. Now my question is does anyone know of any problems that I might have installing the 210hp pump with the #10 plate, 3GSK and the 210 injectors on this engine. BTW I converted the truck to 5spd with a NV4500 so i'm not worried about transmission problems anymore. Also does anyone know what kind of hp will this mod have? Thanks for the help. David.

Don't push it too far. I ran through a set of bearings on my NV4500 in aboout 100K without any mods at all.

Not expensive to fix thoughl. Standard Transmission did everything including a fully splined main shaft for about 1K.

I've already done the transmission with parts from Standard Transmission including a cast iron T-case adapter and Fast Coolers.

What was the engine used for? If it was in an industrial or agricultural application the governor will probably not be appropriate for use in a truck. Most of those type of applications use a "fixed throttle" governor, kind of like a lawn mower. You apply throttle for the RPM's that you want the engine to run and then when the machine the engine is connected to needs more power, the governor will apply more fuel.

The Engine was in a 96-97 FL70 Freightliner and I've noticed that there are no threaded lugs on the side of the pump body for the stock accelerator linkage. No problem there :D .
