my dad has a 97 and i recently installed a piers 215 hp pump rated @400 hp. Installed an ATS manifold, Stan's awesome 4" exhaust, and a B-1 standard housing. The truck runs excellant, but still gets hot. I put the scotty II off my truck onto his and it helped a little. The truck hits 1500 degrees @ 55 mph when hitting it from a stand still. Planning on opening up the head and installing a cam soon. Question is, How can i defuel this p pump? I installed a vallet switch and it works great, but it cuts the hp down toooo much. I tried messing with a needle valve and opening the boost so it would blow out the line from the manifold to the pump and it still fuels like crazy and the turbo still puts out over 50 psi. Will the ATS defueler work top end too, or just the low end of power. Is there another way to pull the rack back a little when u are at full throttle. Oh and i already know the best way to defuel, ..... just let off the throttle, ... but try telling that to my crazy old man, lol! thanx, ... . reb

ya, that would work, but i would here about the loss of power from here to Sunday. I would like to do something on the fly. Maybe build a plate set-up that is adjustable. I'd thought building something like that before, but forgot about it. Thanx.

i talked to Al the other day, ... he seemed to think that the opening the head would be the best way to go. They sure are good people over there. I would have to say that they are the best costumer service people in the dodge diesel industry, ... . but that is my opinion. Hopefully we'll get things straightened out before dad sends the motor ito melt down, lol. Oh, if anybody has done any work with moving plates while driving let me know, and "No", a trained mouse inside the p-pump will not work!
