What should a P7100 go for?

Anybody ever figure out just what's involved in swapping a P7100 into a VP44-equipped truck? I know they did it to Lawrence's truck, but when I asked Keith how much for the conversion, he said "about $10k" or some other obscene number. Maybe he wasn't serious, or worse, maybe he was! :)

I suspect there will be a kit made by somebody to do this, since we all know the VP44 sucks and won't last as well as the P7100...

I'd do it if the price was right (and if I had any money left). ;)

Rob

I worked with Lawrence for a week on the conversion. The price won't ever be right, so long as Bosch and Cummins are selling us some of the parts and the rest have to be custom made :(

But, it doesn't matter since you don't have any money left anyway

For 10 grand do you know how much fun I could have blowing through 8 VP44's? Not to mention the length of time it would take me to go through 8 VP's, a 7100 will more than likely fail too.

$10,000???

Last I heard, Sheilds or BlueChip(can't remember which) put P7100's on some Hummers with a 24v, and will do it on the Dodge for $3,500. Sounds cheaper then the Mitchell's twin set-up

Ya but...

you may want to consider Dzus fasteners to anchor the VP44 so it will expedite the R&R process. :D
