Does anyone know of a web site to decode p7100 pump numbers? Or can someone on here tell me? I found a pump but wondering what it came off of and what HP rating it is.

numbers are as follows:

rear plate:

RQV350... 1100PA96-1K

CDC NO. 392 1771

side plate:

927

Although the 8. 3 pump will physically fit on a 5. 9 there are of course many differences. One of the main things is the oil supply. The 5. 9 uses an external oil line while the 8. 3 gets its oiling from a hole in the gear housing which goes into a hole in the front of the pump. To use an 8. 3 pump on a 5. 9 you would have to use the external oiling line and not all 8. 3 pump housing are drilled for the fitting for the line. Then there are all the internal differences. In a nut shell its much easier to modify the stock 5. 9 pump , especially if it is a "215" pump, to gain horsepower than to play with something that wasn't ment to be on there in the first place. ( not that anyone here ever does that :-laf ) Shadrach

I've heard the 8. 3 pumps are also set up so differently you wouldn't even want to try and run one on a 5. 9, and it would be a job to make it work. Not sure if that's true though.

ive heard they are a bit of work. i eneded up not getting the pump, i kinda wanted another one to play with and figure out what goes on inside, and rebuild for a back up but, its hard to find a 215 pump for a reasonable price. But after the 12v conversion ive done moding the 8. 3 pump cant be any worse!!

Shadrach, i got some more numbers maybe you could check out for me? Found another pump but the guys not sure what its off of either.

Thanks.

The numbers you supplied are incomplete to decode. There should b a tag on the back of the pump and another on the side away from the engine. The Bosch numbver has 10 digits -x xxx xxx xxx and the Cummins has 7-39xxxxx The first pump you found the Cummins number was 392177 and the Bosch was 0 402 736 807 Shadrach

those are the only numbers on the second pump, it has a Robert Bosch USA tag on the back of it but only the one number on it.
