PA Performance 200amp Alternator

I put one on my 01 this past weekend and thought some of you would like the details. PA emailed me the ups shipping info w/o calling them, nice. It came with the pulley installed & bolted to the brackets no problem. The power stud was in a different position which is not a big deal, the wire length was a non issue. I did call them and spoke with a guy who knew his parts, he mentioned he'd try to get the site updated. The volt meter does swing alot less than before while recharging after using the grid heaters, so it works as designed.

what do those alternators run? i need something a little better than my stocker for all my stereo stuff. .

Do you not have to worry about

putting out to much juice... I mean can the wiring harness handle this????? Also post the site please... ...

I have the 200amp one from Mean-Green on my truck and have had zero issues with it. It has been on my truck since late in June of last year and it works fantastic. The heater grids once they are activated swing fast and get the job done with little or no draw and the batteries come back up quickly after a start in the deep cold weather. There has been no issues with my wiring harness at all and I do not expect there will be as these big alternators are like the factory one and are internally regulated. They are a very good upgrade to your truck... ... ... . Andy

I put a PA 130Amp 3G on my '92 Mustang a number of years back and it crapped a bearing on me. They are nothing short of amazing when it comes to customer service. I kid you not I had one waiting on my doorstop the next day and I so was not expecting that!

Hammersley, The factory wiring in our Dodges is safe for this output. I asked about this when I called PA. www.pa-performance.com
