Does anyone have any opinions on the Pacbrake? What will it do to our warranty? Should I have it installed?

I only live about 50 mins from TST and thought about "getting off my wallet" and having them install gauges and a pacbrake.

I'm a decent mechanic and could probably do things myself, but just wondering from experience what people thought.

Thoughts?

Thanks,

Dave

I had a Pacbrake

And I miss it a lot. An exhaust brake of any brand is very helpfull in braking, vehicle control and saves a ton on brakes, I have 113k on the first oem front brake pads and hope to get some more miles yet. An exhaust brake shouldn't hurt your warrenty at all. It is worth every penny to have better braking and it is a good first mod.

Good Luck

Dave:

If it saves you any money, it's a very easy install.

Plus, iv'e got a nice shifter switch for sale.

Hi Have pac-brake on my 02 class c sixspeed love it, brakes will probably last forever. Had turbo work done at TST in Colunbus Ind. nice people, well run business, would go their again an I live 8hrs from there. good luck.

I like TST too. They are about 1 hour from me. I would highly consider letting them do the upgrades on my truck when it comes time. I installed their upgrade kit in 1994. It was pretty easy. It will just come down to how much they will charge to install the stuff.

I want a Pacbrake, gauges, air intake upgrade, exhaust, and their new 150hp/500ft-lbs kit. Then I'll upgrade my clutch when it's time:)

I just don't want to void my warranty... . yet:D

Thanks,

Dave

No, the pac will not void your warranty. The biggest decision may be do I do the direct mount or a 4 inch inline, and go to a 4 or 5 inch exhaust. This gives you options on turbos down the road, however far that may be, if at all.

A required item on any tow rig running a manual. Saves on brakes too. I'm up to 33K miles, and brakes aren't even half way down.

I've used it going down 6 to 7 percent grades hauling up to 15K, and it keeps the speed I choose all the way down, without touching the brakes at all.
