PacBrake and Air Horns

Anyone using the compressor that came with the PacBrake to power air horns? If so what air horns are you using? Are you using the tank that came with the PacBrake.

The answer here is any air horn set you wish... we have several trucks and each has the air kit from pacbrake that uses the supply tank... we run both air horns and air bags..... all truck air horns are designed to run on the truck air system... . this system is set to turn on the compressor at about 85 psi and turn it off at 110... about the same area that the pacbrake compressor runs... .

almost any horns will work with our compressor just watch out for the amount of volume required to run your horns. Our compressor will handle up to a 2 gal tank without short living the life of the compressor.

this is a smaple of the horns we offer so you can see we say within a max volume but I know guys that push the limits with no problems.



Our easy to install air horn kits come with a 12V solenoid, air line,

mounting hardware, brass fittings, and chrome plated air horns.

Max sound output is 120 db/235 Hz with a max operating

pressure of 12-110 PSI

Harold, when I was there a few weeks ago, Bill Lang showed me the sample horns but didn't know the db rating... . are they now available and if so send me information... . in addition there was a hold on the 3500 air bags... if this is resolved I'll need updated information on this as well... . we had some customers waiting in the wings for the air bags but the delay may have changed that... .
