Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Pacbrake throttle switch bypass?

I have a used 4" remote brake coming my way, but it has no throttle switch. Do I need this or can I get away without it? I looked around for a thread I read a while back about guys not susing them, but I couldn't find it.

Best to get the right switch from PacBrake. If you rig a manual switch and forget to turn if off you will have an amazing smoke cloud. Plus EGT through the roof.

The throttle switch is the same micro switch used on older big trucks with a mechanical injector pump. You can get the micro switch from any parts supplier for big trucks. The will probably have a pacbrake cataloge or a jake brake cataloge, I think that they both use the same micro switch. You can also go online to the pacbrake web site to get instructions for the install and parts listing.
