Who has added one and where did you put it?

2017 Crew cab, I am thinking of the Bin in the floor behind the drivers seat. I never use it for anything else..
A small hole to run the power lead in through a grommet then silicone to make it water proof.
That way all my circuits will be in the cab already instead of under the hood

Bad Idea? Got a better place?

On the 3rd gen trucks you could easily remove the end caps from the dash (the part of the dash that doors close against) on EITHER side of the dash. They are perfect places to mount the Painless kit, though not sure if the 4th gen trucks still have them.
Worth checking though!!

I mounted mine to the back of the drivers side battery box.
