Anyone know what the paint code "PRC" translates to in color. It's a 98. It's a reddish maroon color. In between Poppy Red which my Jeep is and actual Maroon which my buddies 01 Ram is.

I'm trying to match the paint so I can paint a toolbox, aux tank, etc. I got some rustoleum, Regal Red, but it's too bright. Matches my Jeep though.

I'd get spray on auto paint, but I'm not setup to spray and I can't aford $75 a quart either.

you should be able to go to a body shop and they can transfer the code and maybe even get you the paint. if you have any problems write me back and i can get the translation from my friends:cool:

Called a paint shop this morning and pretty much figured it out. Now I just gotta figure out what I want to do.

The truck paint is Metallic Red Pearl.

$52. 99 for a quart, plus hardener and reducer which are $30 and can do 2 quarts.

I talked to another guy that would bed line it (Speedliner) to match the truck's paint. $200-250 to do the fuel tank, a tool box and some bed rails.

The rustoleum I bought was $8 a quart. :D That's looking better right now, but I wish the color was closer.

http://www.rustoleum.com/ColorGroup.asp?ddc=1&SBL=1 Regal Red, but it's Safety red in color when painted on steel. (2 coats with a coat of primer)
