Can anyone out there give me a part no. or name? That I can give to the Dodge parts man. So I can get some of this aerosal paint. To do my pillar mount. My interior is agate. I've read a couple of posts. But no one made any mention of part no. Because the parts boys here in Puyallup Wa. have never heard of it. Somebody help.

He should have a book listing paint that he can get. You just need your year and trim color/code. It's a big grid chart. It's the same book that lists body touch up paint and such, I believe.

If you're referring to Larson Dodge movintruck, they have ordered it... at least two different times (that I know of)... for me. The 5 oz. spray can of Agate (interior) paint is part #82201399 (code LAZ). If they can't get it for you for some reason I have enough left to do at least one A-pillar... you are welcome to have it although, I would like to warn you in advance that the Agate interior spray paint (regardless of batch) has always been several shades too light. On my latest gauge project I decided to have a pint of custom color matched Agate paint mixed at an auto body paint shop, using my spare OE A-pillar for a guide. The match is virtually exact.

To add my $. 02, I got easily ordered a can of the 82201399 LAZ Spray Paint from Berg Dodge in Florence, OR last Sept. and the match was and is, perfect!

Maybe they got their act together. At $8 a can you can't go too wrong. I did put on about 3 coats - I've heard some guys putting on five. One can gives you more than enuf!

John thanks so much for your offer. But I stopped by Larson this mourning. The paint will be in tomorrow.
However if you have any suggestions on how to remove the stock a-pillar without breaking it. I would appreciate it. Also any suggestions on how to mount the thermo couple would be appreciated. Again thanks for the offer.

I can help you with that. Pull the weatherstripping down on the left side of the pillar - it's a friction fit over the sheet metal. Then get your fingers between the headliner and the top of the pillar. Pull. It will sound and feel like it's going to break, but it won't. Disconnect the harness from your tweeter before you get it to far out, you'll see the connector once you get the top of the pillar loose.

I just had a friend paint my pillar. . make sure you use a flexable primer before painting. . this will retard paint peeling! Check previous posts for GREAT info on thermocouple mounting. Hope this also helps.

I don't know if you'd be intrested, but I found the paint for my truck at pep boys. They have a book in the store where you can match your interior paint to the paint they sell. I bought a can for my A pillar and it matches perfectly. I'm sure it's cheaper than dodge, but I just thought i'd share my experience.
