All,

I bought some OEM aluminum polished wheels for my SRW 3500 from a buddy. He inadvertantly ran over a spray can pulling up to get his new wheels splattering black-paint overspray all over the front wheel. What would SAFELY take this paint off without damaging the wheel finish.

Thanks

wd 40

You might try WD 40?

I have used it to get bugs off the paint.

I read somewhere that it is some sort of fish oil.

I would spray it on a vey soft cloth and then blot the surface.

No scrubbing. .

Of course try a mild dish soap first.

If it was spray paint it was probably lacquer-based. Get some MEK or Methyl-Ethyl-Ketone from your paint store. You might also want to try Krud-Kutter, or Goof-Off (get the water-based versions to be safe).

Of course, always test an inconspicuous spot first. I have no idea how these will affect the plastic coating on those wheels.
