I bought my truck used and it didn't come with a warranty book so I'm looking for some help. I assume the paint is covered under the warranty for some period, but how long is it. I have noticed that I am developing some small bubbles in various places and want to know what, if any, recourse I have. TIA

The paint warranty is considerably longer than 36k/36month. Without looking I'm thinking 5-7 years. Problem is getting them to cover it, the fine print says it has to be rusted through. My paint started out bubbling then progressed to square foot sheets peeling off. Dealer won't cover it so I'm following the recourse outlined here http://peelingpaint.homestead.com/

Big areas of my roof peeled off last year at the car wash! The roof is the only place it happened to me. Paint peeled away from the primer, indicating to me, adhesive failure due to Chrysler Plant problems of some sort. I had to have some bodywork done at that time also, and for $50 the guy also re-did the roof. Interestingly, from what we could both tell, the roof HAD NOT been clear coated at the factory, like the rest of the truck. Don't know why, and since my truck was 6 years old, and over 100,000 miles, and I bought it used, I didn't feel like I wanted to fight with the dealer. So I paid.
