My truck is red with a black flatbed. I would like to have it painted maroon to match my other landscape trucks. Is this possible or is this a bad thing to do. Also are there any tips or suggestions I should know before going to various body shops. The truck is in good shape but it is for work and I don't want to spend a fortune. Is Macco a big mistake??

It all depends even at Maaco the more you spend the more you get. If you get there ghetto deal the real cheap paint job they barely fix any dings or dents and they hardly do any prep work which leads to a short lived paint job. However they will step up to the plate and do halfway decent work but it does cost you and there goes the cheap paint job you wanted. So all in all I would goto a reputable paint shop and talk with the owner, all the guys around here wheel and deal, tell them waht you want and you dont want to spend alot of money and see what they can do for you.

Thanks Rich any ideas on how much I would expect to pay for a good job. It is just the exterior cab. I am not trying to be cheap but over $2500. 00 would not justify for a color change. I wash truck weekly but only have opportunity to wax about twice a year.

I would say if its only the cab your looking at 1g or less easy. You can goto a good shop and pay close to 1,000 and get the jams done, molding removed hood etc etc. So if you do decide the cheaper route your under a grand I would bet. ;)
