Painted Husky Mudflaps?

I finally got around to installing the Husky molded mud flaps on my 04. 5. I lined the inside edge that contacts the truck with a chemical proof foam rubber tape so I don't get the paint rub problem.

I noticed on the Husky package that it said that these mud flaps can be painted.



Has anyone tried this yet? If so what were your results.

I have the Huskys on my truck an choose to leave them black. One reason is my truck is white an to me the black helps accent the white since the body moldings are also black. Second, I myself believe in time that rocks an such would really chip up the paint if they were painted. Just my . 02 worth.
