Painting factory mirrors

Has anyone done this? I'm putting together a set of factory towing mirrors, I have both mirrors but they came from different trucks and have broken glass. The local auto glass shop says that they can take care of the glass part but my problem is that they don't match in color (faded) and one has a spot that is very discolored. I tried Black Magic, Armoral, etc but they didn't help so I've been thinking about painting them. I'm not sure about what kind of paint to use. Once I get done I'll have a set of towing mirros for under $75. 00.
