Has anyone had any experience with paintless dent repair? I've got a few very small door dings that just drive me nuts. I always park in the "back 40" but my truck is apparently a magnet. None of the dings have any significant paint damage, just a ding and all of them are in the doors. I'd like to know how well these dings can be repaired using this method. Is the ding completely gone or just reduced? I don't want to spend any money on it if they can't make it dead straight.

Thanks in advance...

From what I read on detailing forums those people can work wonders. I also have read to do some research as with anything there are the good and the not so good.

I had a guy fix a few small dings and some larger boo boos from a patio chair falling over the side of the bed that made me completely sick when it happened. When he was done it was like it never happened. My wife found the guy who did the repairs and then checked Yelp to see what other people said about him. Just do your homework before you hire someone.

I've had two different trucks repaired this way. One was a '98 Z71 that had two door dings and a fist imprint in the front fender. The other was a '97 Cummins that had a few door dings and a couple creases in the bed. Both trucks came out straight as an arrow.

My truck and car got hit by golf ball size hail in Montana a couple of years ago. Had about 150 dings each. CarMedic (paintless dent repair) did both of them. I can very slightly see one or two of them on the truck. They were over internal braces, so he couldn't get at them very good. Silver colored car and truck. He said silver is one of the worst colors to work on. I can only see them if the light is just right.

Thanks to everyone for the reply's, sounds like it's a viable solution. I'll start digging to find a reputable local guy...

I've used PDR several times over the years. First time was after a hail storm on our POS Caddy. Then a tree hit the side of my truck making a huge dent.
Most recently on our new SRT.
Every time it turned out perfect and contrary to some internet legend, it doesn't "come back".
