Two 8 points, one with a 20" spread, decided to leave my orchard into the side of a cattle trailer, last night.

Broke both their necks, the big one dressed out at 139#. Nice size whitetail.



No damage to the trailer.

My little bro shot a 4 pointer out here that was 165!

DRESSED 140, meaning, no hide, head, feet, guts etc. That is decent around here, we keep them killed off, before they get real big. .

Generally speaking a buck will weigh 25-35% less after it has been dressed ... . 180 aint too shabby for an 8 point this time of year... ... . They are all over the place down here... . We have 1 a day (EITHER sex) during the whole season... and we still dont kill enough does.....

I almost ran over a whole family of the buggers on Wednesday night during rip down a local country road... then not 5 minutes later there were some cows in the road and some sleeping on the shoulder. Good thing I was going slow...

The spot I hunted 2 years ago got sold..... last year I didn't have much luck... but I didn't have much time. My little bro and I are scouting a couple areas... . This year we may get lucky!
