I am curious if anyone is using a palmpilot to monitor the OBD II connection on a 3rd generation Dodge and if so what software are you using.

Thanks,

Steve

Take a look at this option I found at www.digimoto.com . It will run on a pocket pc or laptop and is way cheaper than anything else I have found. I have a friend with a ford lightning that is going to be using this shortly, i will let you know how it goes.

Bluemax, I went to the website, and they only reference Dodge Ram 1500,2500 through 1999? (When trying to determing which interface to use) Would ISO still be the interface to get? As a full time computer geek (Senior Systems Engineer by trade) I'm very interested in the Pocket PC version.

does anyone here use it?

CAgnoli, Service manual for my 2004 didn't have type of interface in it anywhere I could find. That manual isn't laid out to well IMO. I went to www.digimoto.com and looked thru their FAQ and I'm going to take guess that it is ISO because it has a link to a page that gives the pins that s/b there for each of 3 types of interfaces and my truck matches ISO. Also, they say that to ignore year and just go with manufacturer for type of interface you need. By the way, my bud with it for his lightning is very pleased. I wondered how all those sensors on this truck worked, now I know. The truck has a PCI data bus operating at 10. 4K that uses a single wire to transmit form one ECM module to another multiplexing and all that. Wonder just how many sensors are on this thing?
