I just got home from a fast trip to Boston and realized that my parking and marker lights were not working. Headlights, dash and signals still work. Fuses are all good, so I pulled the switch. One of the terminals has some melted plastic from the connector block, so I'm thinking that the switch is the problem.

Is this common? Does replacing the switch normally take care of it, or should the connector block be replaced also?

lights quit.

Mine did something similar... ... ... the signals and brake lights only worked, everything else was Kapoot.

New switch and harness did the trick.

I got a switch and new connector with wires attached, soldered them in, and have lights again! However, the recall for this only covers the 3500 series trucks, so I paid the $82, even though the problem clearly exists on 2500's also.

Oh well, glad it's done. Thanks for the help!
