2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Parking Brake adjustment on 02 3500

Friend of mine called me wanting advice on adjusting the driver's side parking brake on his 02 2wd 3500 HO - it has rear disc brakes. He said that he was able to adjust the passenger's side easily, but could not figure out the driver's side- he wanted to know if there was a special tool or trick that he could use. I told him I did not know, but some buddies of mine probably would. If any of you guys can help it would be appreciated.

I adjusted my 01. 5 a while back and don't remember anything special, i used either a flathead screwdrive, or brakespoon

I talked to him and he said that the right side went esaily- he could not budge the driver's side any ideas?

Mine was the same way, my passenger side went easy. I had to take off the disk on the driver side and get to the parking brake drum to adjust it. I cleaned it out and sprayed it with some lube. I than put it all but togather and now I can move it easier.

the parking brake is a drum type system inside of the disk brake rotor, i would guess the adjuster wheel is rusted. you could spray it with pb blaster, or wd-40, or you might have to take it apart to break it loose. good luck
