:confused:any idea why the parking brake and ABS lights on the dash do not turn off after all the other warning lights do (seatbelt, oil press. , manifold heater, ect. )? i recently had ball joints, u joints, stablilizer links, ect. up front replaced @ 57,000 miles. so wheels were pulled, hubs, and all the other business needed to perform these repairs. the E brake was never activated, (it is on the rear anyway, the rears never got removed) but we are wondering if the ABS sensor in the front driver side wheel could have been damaged in the process. that particular wheel gave trouble, whereas the passenger side went off w/o a hitch. i'd like to get some ideas before i go out and purchase another sensor unessesarily.

i am correct, when driving, the yellow ABS light on the right lower side of the instrument cluster should not be on? right?

The light you are calling the parking brake light is really a brake light. When parking brake is on it blinks, when fluid is low or ABS is not working it stays on continuiously. the ABS light should go out after a few seconds. Messing up a sensor will cause both lights to stay on. Hope this helps

ok thanks, that is helpful, we figured that the sensor was damaged. the reservoir is full, and the E brake isn't on, because there isn't one- last summer we had to remove it from the rear when doing the brakes- it was rusted, seized and corroded beyond repair, like the majority of E brakes on automatic vehicles.

You can remove the smaller connector on the ABS pump and ohm it out through the connector to see which front wheel is giving you the problem.

the issue i had-- both lights on at the same time.
my fix was the 30 amp square fuse

if your module is bad. search an old thread not even 3 months old, he replaced the module it was like 4 times cheap than the dealer. . $150ish
