I wanted to finish the parking brake fix so is adjusted the rear brakes today. For both wheels I turn the star wheel until I could feel resistance then backed the star off 5 notches on the star wheel.
The Park Brake Pedal would not take up any slack in the break cable when I pushed the pedal to the floor.
With the Parking Brake Pedal Assembly removed and laying on the seat and pushing the foot lever by hand it would take up some of the slack in the Parking Break Cable??? Not enough to be tight but it did take out some of the slack.
Is it possible for this assembly to sometimes pull the cable then sometimes not
I would think the torsion spring pull to make slack in the cable??

Looks like you were correct JMcCoy.
I adjusted the Parking kind of like the Service manual said and I have Parking Brakes.
Thanks for your Time and Help.

You were correct JMcCoy
I went back and adjusted like the Shop manual said and I have parking brakes. A good thing for an automatic in Kentucky.
THANKS

That's good to hear. Now I just need to do mine. Lol. I went from a drum brake Dana 70 to a disk brake Dana 80 and now I need to get the correct cable for mine. I just got back from northern Alabama, and parking brakes would have been nice.
