Attention: TDR Forum Junkies 
Hello all, this is my first post as a new TDR member. 
I have a `93 W350 that is having a problem with the right side rear parking brake. In cold weather, the brake seems to "stick" or lodge. It`s happened twice now in the past few weeks. Everything is new in the system, brake shoes, springs, retainers, new cable, wheel cylinder, etc. I`m assuming there is water getting in somewhere and freezing. When the temperature outside warms up, the problem goes away. The brake cable I used was brand new from NAPA.
Anyone have any tips or tricks for this? I`ve already promised myself I would avoid using the parking brake at all costs, especially in cold weather, however with the truck being a manual, its easy to say "don't use it", but much harder to live by that decree. This is especially true in SW PA where almost none of our terrain is flat.
Are there better brands of cable out there?
Any way to stop water getting in to the cable?
How can I get oil / grease in to the cable to help combat moisture?
I had an `01 2500 5 spd prior to owning this `93 and it never experienced a sticking parking brake in any season of operation.
I`ve had to replace the brake shoes twice now with this truck in the last 2 months because the brake sticks and by the time I realize it I`ve overheated the pads. I`m at my wits end! HELP!
