Parksense Problem

My 2017 is having an issue with the front parksense. I am getting a warning to "service parksense".
The front parksence is not working and the light is "on" the parksense switch. If I hit the switch the warning comes back on the screen. Is there a way for me to investigate this and revive the parksense back to working?

Have you checked the connections? Is there any wax or polish build up on the front sensors? Maybe wipe them down with some alcohol. Maybe some others have run across this. Good luck.

You should be able to examine the reason for this message with AlfaOBD.
There is always more to it then what the dash says.

Just one example, a single layer of additional paint (scratch repair or so) throws these sensors off.

I got the same park sense "service" warning after a deer bumped into the sensor at 60 mph.

anybody else besides me thinking quietly to their self that if this sort of thing causes problems on a rather simple system
what are the chances of a self driving car with a multitude of sensors actually functioning as desired over the long haul
without it spending an inordinate amount of time in the shop?

Hmm. Could be a wiring issue, especially if it happened suddenly.
