All them little coolant hose elbows. There are also two on the ATF heat exchanger I think:mad:

One of them, down under the alternator, is straight I was thinking. I know there are a bunch of 'em!

NAPA and Cummins say no.

Dodge dealer says

And I'm

Thanks guys

P/N 4638704 FOR THE STRAIGHT HOSE, SHOWS 2 REQUIRED $7. 50

LIST AND P/N 4638427 FOR THE ELBOWS, 2 REQUIRED AT $26. 35 LIST

Go to your generic autoparts store and buy the generic elbows they have. I bought Dayco for about $3 apiece. I don't remember the number for sure but it was like 10001. Every store I went to only had 1 or 2 but they got them for me the next day.

They did require shortening on both ends.

I've bought the elbows at the parts stores, too. Measure them and see what size they are. 5/8" or 1/2" stick in my mind. Not sure about the heat exchanger; dont have one.

With the help from Dan Brooks, I was given the Dayco no. 70001. It's listed as a part for a Ford, and was thinking the parts guy said it's a pollution control (air) hose. I'll give them a good look when I pick up my order. They are 5/8" and too long for our application, so will need to be slightly shortened.

My truck has four elbows. Two hoses are straight 5/8". I can use heater hose stock for these.

Thanks guys. I knew I could count on you.

Was the $26. 35 a Dodge dealer figure:eek: I was quoted 4. 49 each @ NAPA :)

Scott - I did have to trim all the 90* hoses on mine a little. That was the part # the counter monkey gave me (I got the number off a spare I keep in the truck).

Just checked Dayco's website and they don't list any hoses other than the U/L radiator.

Running the 70001 part number through Dayco's system shows it as a "by-pass hose" and a "heater hose," but they don't list the applications. :( This is probably just another example of the aftermarket suppliers recommending a "close enough" part to keep the number of applications down.

Wonder if another manufacturer (Gates, Goodyear) has the exact OEM replacment?
