I am pretty new to this arena. Where do I find the right / recommended part numbers for maintenace items such as filters, gaskets and seals?

TDR, Service Manual or ???. I have a 1998 12 Valve 2500 4x4.

On 12 Nov 2001, I purchased filters from:

C. W. I. – Sacramento Branch

875 Riverside Pkwy

W. Sacramento, CA 95605-1502

(916) 371-0630

These are from Cummins West, Inc. , and they will UPS.

LF3894 PAC, LF $9. 32

FS1253 PAC, FS $15. 32

If you choose to replace it:

384500-S, PAC. FUEL. $5. 89.

This is the pre-filter kit. The quad ring was not in stock, although they said it was 86 cents.

If you need it, my Invoice No. was 003-39530. The sales person was 118.

I ordered my manuals from Tech Authority, Daimlerchrysler, on 9/17/01. I don’t have them memorized yet, but I cannot imagine what is not in them. Collectively, they are about 5 inches thick. Good or bad, they cover both gas and diesel. The TSBS (Technical Service Bulletins) cover several Chrysler products, including our Rams. Obviously, you will want to order them for your 1998.

Product:

1996 Technical Manual Revisions Only $16. 00

1996 TSBS $24. 00.

Ram Truck $90. 00

Shipping (UPS Ground) $13. 25

Taxes $10. 03

Total $153. 28

Geno's (the banner on TDR) is also a good resource.
