As title says, I've got a part-throttle surge when holding it in 2nd gear. When I put the lever in 2nd and give it steady but barely any throttle (maybe1000 rpm) the truck does a little herky-jerky motion. It doesn't throw any codes and as soon as you give it more throttle, less throttle, or no throttle at all, it goes away. I'm wondering what this is. Is it the transmission trying to go back and forth from 1st to 2nd over and over again (seems to happen too quickly for this though) or something else? Any help would be appreciated!

I entertained this idea as well. The way it goes back and forth so quickly it seems this could be possible and not the 1-2-1-2-1-2 shift sequence I thought previously. May have to take it to the dealer.

It has been discussed here a few times before. Seems like it is very common and not detrimental to operation. I think the basic conclusion was that you are catching the transmission in a situation where the programming isn't perfect. I do not believe there is any fix. Both my '05 and my '06 autos did this.
