I'm a new owner of these trucks and because I was short of time I took the truck into Speeco for an oil and filter change. They tested the coolant and said the PH was 0 and I should add some SCA to it. I declined as I figure I should dump the green stuff soon anyway.

My question is can I dump the radiator only and add with Rotella ELC for a partial change? I read on the bottle that you can top off w/this but must still add SCA (that tells me you can mix them?)

You can do it, just dump it in. The two coolants are compatible. I would recommend that you flush most if not all the old stuff out. It really is pretty easy, just open the petcock, drain the radiator, and when it stops take the thermostat housing off and pour distilled water in the hole. When it stops coming out of the petcock green you have gotten all of the coolant out except what is in the heater core.

You do not need SCA with our engines. Fresh coolant is all that is needed.
