2003 Dodge Ram 3500 Quad Cab Laramie Long Bed 4x4 6-Speed Manual.

I have lost lighting in the rear drivers side clearance lights (on the fender), the tail light, and tag lights, all on the same side.

I have all brake lights, all other lights are on, backup lights work, but I can not find the problem to why I have a partial lighting loss. I have checked all fuses, relays, bulbs, and connection at the tail light.

Thank you. I am from SC but currently working in Port Clinton, OH, and yes we have had a lot of snow. I have removed the trailer plug underneath the truck as it was corroded after being here for 6 weeks but nothing changed.

When I originally noticed the lights were out, the next day, they were back on, and then have yet to come back.

I don't know what else to try or where to look. Anybody have any suggestions or experience with this?

I would of bet it was a ground problem but you brake lights and back up light work and they should be on the same ground. Are the clearance and parkings lights working at all or are they partially on. If they are dim you mite have a bad ground. I would look for broken wires in the harness. You mite look at your light switch see if they have a connection for drivers/left side and passenger/right side.

Look near under the rear of truck toward the bumper, there are four connections (plug ins). Three on the drivers side and one on the other side. The three on the drivers side have the lights you mention in them. bg

They aren't dim, there is nothing at all and the ground should be the same.

Did you check your fuzes? Had a similar issue with the right side, was a burnt fuze.

I've pulled and metered every fuse.

I looked under the bumper this morning, the only connections I can find are the towing connector, which I disconnected (not dirty) and reconnected, trying the lights before during and after. 2) Connector that goes to the tail light assembly, which is accessible by removing the tail light assembly. I cant find any more connections that are in use under there..

And checking for power each time you pull apart the connections? Some of those connections are allusive. Back track the wires to find where you have power.

Possible Front Control Module (FCM) failure? How many miles? Do you have lighting power at 7-way trailer plug on the bumper? There circuits are separately fused in your model, but ultimately come from the FCM. Have you washed out under the hood lately? Checked the circuit board in the tail light for printed circuit board damage? Do you have any indication of water in the taillight? Do you have a lamp out indication in the instrument cluster?
