Just got my #10 plate & 3k springs in today. going to put them in on Friday, anything i need to know that the instructions don't tell you?

You may have to adjust the plate follower to the correct height for maximum power. My truck was super gutless after installing the 4GSK and that was the problem. Piers has a good pic and instructions on his web site.

Deezul1 is talking about this little procedure: http://www.piersdiesel.com/TechLeverAdj.htm

Also, you might want to get a replacement metric bolt for the break-away security bolt in the kit. That way you won't have to mess around with the dumb security screw any more when you go to make plate adjustments.

Trying to measure the distance down the shaft for the GSK nuts is a waste of time. Just eyeball it and set them close when you reassemble. You may have to adjust them afterwards anyway. I don't think that any two are exactly alike.

Above all, don't drop anything into your pump!

You shouldn't have to worry about the Gov. Lever Adjustment with the #10 plate. It'll catch the lever everytime. At least that's what Piers told me when I put mine in.
