Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) parts discounts

After purchasing parts from the Cummins dialer in Phoenix at a discount for 8 years, I was informed that there were no more discounts for any customer. Has anyone else run into this policy?



I read somewhere of a Cummins discount club. Does anyone have any information on this? Do you know of a discounted source for Cummins parts?

Cummins Power Masters Road Club, Cummins Power Boosters Road Club and Midrangers.



Cummins Rocky Mountain claims to honor Power Boosters Club memberships (good for 10% off). You should be able to find them in Phoenix. I assume this is the dealer you're writing about.

I have found that I get better prices if I go to a Frieghtliner, Peterbilt or some other dealer for Cummins parts. It doesn't make any sense but I guess they give them a pretty good discount and if they aren't trying to kill you then they give you good prices. I pay like $11 for a stratopore filter at Cummins now and around $7. 50 for the same filter from the Freightliner dealer I used to deal with in Maine. I chatted with the parts guy at Cummins northeast for a while the other day when I was picking up a lift pump and he told me he gave me fleet price on it, for what it's worth it cost me $148. I think they are usually around $160 but I don't know that for a fact. It would be interesting to see what a big truck dealer would sell one for.

Heck, I already bought all the Cummins stuff I needed, now need a discount place for a bunch of Dodge parts that are broke. Anybody gotta discount place for brakes and ball joints and such? All the dealer places are wearing masks. . . it's highway robbery.

I went into cummins northeast 6 months ago and said give me 4 oil filters and 2 fuel filters, well the guy came back with 6 oil filters and 3 fuel filters seems they had a special buy two and get one free. So if you keep an eye open you can find these type of specials.
