Sure did, mine was the driver side one--dealer replaced it for me , no questions asked. I figured not to bad being mine is a 99 model. Kinda funny how they break though--almost like it was cut with a glass cutter or something. Good luck Chuck
My driver's side mirror broke in a vertical line while sitting in the parking lot one day. I haven't checked with the dealer yet about cost of a replacement, since mine is out of warranty.
I'm not sure on the newer models but on my 97 you can't buy the replacement mirror. You have to replace the world mirror fixture at the tune of 169. 00. In a post quite awhile back a member fixed his by taking a heat gun/hair dryer and applied heat to the mirror center and the glue got soft and he was able to gently pry the glass out and have a new one cut and re-glued it in. The mirror is glued in 5 places on mine. The center is a large one and the 4 corners are smaller glue spots. Hope this helps.
Knowing you guys in Alaska, I figured you would've suggested taking your rock hammer chipping away at the edges until all the glass was gone and only the supports were left. And only then get technical with a heat gun? Cheers,

Hope it works out and you can just get a piece of replacement mirror.
Usually we don't have to do that. All the gravel on the roads normally breaks every piece of glass on our trucks. I've gotten 9 bulls eye chips on my new windshield since Aug and my wifes car has 4 and one ran all the way across from passenger side to dirvers at the bottom. You can't keep glass up here. Then and only then do we gently beat the glass out with a small 5 pound sledge hammer and crow bar.
My pass side mirror cracked like that. I was in southern MD at the time. Stopped at a DC dealer. They said they had had several do the same thing. Replaced it right away at no cost to me.
