Pause as we ramp for payback and enjoy the clear night sky

You are not likely (hopefully) to ever see another night where there is not a commercial aircraft in the sky.



Here in VT the milky way is so so bright tonight.



If you have kids, maybe you can show them the clear night as they struggle to deal with the influx of bad news from New York and Washington.



The time for payback will surely come.



In the meantime, do take a moment to pause and enjoy a tiny tiny tiny silver lining in all this horror

Wish I could see a dern star... . been in the Dallas area too long this season. Need to get to Idaho soon. Thought I might have had to bug out up there today. Nervous as a cat this morning... drinking coffee and talking 300 miles an hour. Not like me.

no real activity in the transatlantic path

I started this thread after going outside to see the air tanker traffic. I was surprised to see no activity and then humbled by the sheer beauty of the clear night.



We are located near a path where we saw all the heavy military transports and likely bombers getting the last tanker contact before hitting the pond during the last big blow up in Iraq.



Really, we can usually see the lights of the connected aircraft in the Northern sky.



No doubt the military is cranking up but we don't see the aircraft yet... .



My buddy in the 82nd is on 2hr runway alert, whatever that means.....

Keep The Flag Held High!

David, you should see the northern lights! It comes in different flavors no less.



The western diesel task force is mobilizing as we communicate here. AA weapons are being afixed to the duallys right NOW. Lawrence Livermore labs has volunteered a lazor weapon for our use. My friend Rafe had availed us of a magnetic impulse weapon from SLAC (Stanford Linear Accelerator Center). STAR wars hear we come We'll be able to shoot them down one eyeball at a time!!!

It was strange looking up today and only seeing military aircraft flying overhead. It does fill you with pride though.

JET NOISE - THE SOUND OF FREEDOM

The wife and I were walkning around the neighborhood tonight, and the wife noticed aircraft flying over Denver. She commented that they are protecting us. I said that they must be some aircraft given special clearance to fly. She said that they must be military. A few minutes later I could hear F16's taking off from Buckley Air Force Base in Aurora and watched them circle around. I susspect that they are up becuase of some of the significant military targets in Colorado, like NORAD.



I've seen bumper stickers before that said "JET NOISE - THE SOUND OF FREEDOM". I guess I understand it now.

I was thinking the same tonight on the way home from work, the sky is crystal clear and it's kinda strange not seeing the occasional jet up there. Very quiet and peaceful. Lest we forget.

Flag Avatar getting around like the SPA gauges

I enjoyed bringing the SPA gauges to the TDR, no loss of life involved.



This Avatar distribution should give me some satisfaction but I'd rather know the attack never happened.



I made the Avatar yesterday from a flag gif I found on the web several years ago.



Nobody else should feel the need to ask me to use it. The flag belongs to all of us!!
