I recently installed Sylvania LED (9007) headlights in my ‘03 Ram. Though I love the lights there is an annoying pause (maybe a second) switching from low to high beams - the road just goes black. Any ideas on how to resolve this? Thx for your help.

If it were my truck, I would simply pull the LEDs and install Phillips Xtreme Vision halogen bulbs, which are what I use in ALL my rigs after discovering how well they work, with no downsides, on my 2005 truck.

Check again with regular bulbs. There is an overlap built into the high beam switch so you never go dark. But it can fail.
If it works with incandescent bulbs then your bulbs are bad.

I run LEDs on mine and no problem with the overlap.

Nothwithstanding what I said above, IF your LEDs are meant to run BOTH chips at once then you might also consider modifying your multifunction stalk switch as detailed in the thread below, which will allow you to run hi and low beams at the same time,...therefor avoiding the "dark moment" you are now dealing with.

I ALSO did this on my truck and LOVE it for more forward lighting.

Thanks for the advice, I don’t think it is the bulbs as they seem to come on simultaneously together. I’m going to look into the switch. The truck is 20 years old and running into lots of miscellaneous problems the last year or two, this might be one more of them.
