2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Payload

Does anyone out there carry a slid in truck camper? I am looking to purchase one that weights about 1860 lbs dry weight. I have a 1995 2500 TD with factory overload springs. I do not won't my but on the ground. If I read the book right Payload is something like 3500 Lbs. Need some input.

1860 is not to bad i have had 4000 in the back of my truck and i still had room to the bump stops

I carry an 8 1/2ft S&S in mine. Weighs just under 2000 according to the data plate. Truck only sits down about 2 inches when it's loaded. Just enough to touch the overloads.

Thanks for the input, I pull a 31 ft 5th wheel with a hitch weight of abt. 1600 and it does find but I did not know about these slid-ins. how well balanced they were.
