Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) PCM Code

I cycle my key three times and get a code P0500. What does this mean? Sorry for the dumb question.

The code you are talking about comes up as no vehicle speed signal. p0500

Again dumb question, does that mean I have some kind of a problem or the start of a problem? Thanks

It's not picking up one of your speed sensors. If i'm not mistaken there are three of them. One on each front wheel and one on the differential. If they are not working properly you could loose your abs system. The brakes will work fine but the wheels will lock up on wet pavment or if you get in a panic stop.
