I finally remembered to do the key on - off thing at lunch today, and I got the 1693 and the 0234 codes. I have never seen a check engine light on my truck, and the Edge has only been in for about a month. I have the boost elbow installed, and I have not run the truck since w/o the EZ.

Any thoughts as to what would have caused the over boost code (0234) and the majic mystery 1693?

Does anyone in the Denver CO area have access to an OBDII scanner that will read the CTD/Dodge Diesel info that will not charge me $80 to read and clear the codes? A little brotherly love on this would be great. I do not want to have to return my truck to stock format to bring it to the steal... dealer just to have the codes cleared so I can verify that it is the EZ doing this or not.

If they ask me no questions, I will tell them no lies. I would prefer it that way.

Autozone will read them for free.

Sometimes the boxes will set the codes and it is usually the MAP sensor either over or under voltage. You aren't getting a check engine light now, right. Go to Autozone and have the codes cleared and that should be all you have to do. Make sure your EZ connections are clean and connected properly before you have the codes cleared.

My info says a "1693" code is "Turbo Charge Control Circuit Malfunction. " Don't know what that means, but maybe it will be of some use to you...

That's probably an overboost indicated by an overvoltage or high voltage on the MAP sensor. Sounds like the Edge didn't mask the high boost.

Looks like this weekend is a vehicle maintenance day. Clean the EZ connections, and while I am under there, clean the IAT, and the MAP (have not done that one yet, how hard is it?) sensors, and check the fuel pressure.

Thanks everyone! I will get this done, and the codes cleared and go for a little WOT drive to see if that cured the problem.
