Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) PCMs: 24 valve vs. 12 valve

Does anyone have knowledge of whether there is a difference in the PCMs between the previous 12 valve and the later 24 valve models?



Specifically, what's the chance of an aftermarket electronic transmission controller for a '96 (12V) plugged into a PCM for a '99 (24v) working properly?



Both have 47RE trannies... Any changes in electronics?
