Well I installed a PDR modified hx40 with thier 16cm wastegated housing (my stock hx35-12cm WG died
) & wanted to post my results. I also have a few ?? for PDR hx40 users
for truck info see sig
1. Idle temp down 50* @ 250*F (all temp pre turbo)
2. 75 mph temp down 200-250*F @ 650-750*F
3. 75 mph temp pulling 26,000 lbs (35K lbs GCW) down 300*F+
4. Around town boost @ 0 psi
5. WOT boost up from 35-36 psi to 37+ psi
6. boost at 75 mph down 10-15 psi @ 5-12psi
7. gained 2-3 mpg unladen (very happy)
(towing mpg the same)
8. little quieter & deaper exaust note
9. over all power about the same, bit more TQ on the big end (2800+ rpm) though
My ?? are
1. my truck shutters in 1st & 2nd gear (at 2900 rpm+) with no load unless I put the go petal on the floor (then I go real fast
not to mention burning my stock (for now) clutch)
will 370 inj. help the shutters (dont care about spooling faster it spool just fine)
also what type of mpg are you seeing with the PDR hx40+370 db's ??
2. I can still peg my EGT gauge (1500*F) at WOT (just a little slower)- is that normal??
