Dumb PF brake questions

Has anyone with an ETH installed the PE Box without an injector change? Just wondering if this will result in a moderate power increase and not create some problem. If not, should injectors be changed first (money will not allow changing both at once). Need some practical advice after finding out the VA box is not a great addition to an ETH. Thanks

ISB RAMBO, I have exactly what you are looking for as I have a stock ETH with 3. 54 gears and the standard PE with stock injectors. I think the power increase is great or at least for me as all I tow is a 6000 lbs. Jeep and trailer with no problems at all as I now can tow over the Rocky Mountains near Denver, CO at 60-70 MPH in only level 1. I would say do the box first or the injectors and then if you feel you need more do the other. I do feel that if you are towing the same weight that I am you may be better off going the injector route as it yeilds about the same power as level 1 on the PE.

This is my firt post. I've been looking at a VA box, but now I'm not so sure. Does anyone have quarter mile times and EGT's with both the VA and PE? P. S. -My last truck was a '99 Powerstroke and my 2001 ETH is much stronger.

Douglas, thanks for the reply - that's exactly the feedback I'm looking for. My mind is now made up as to the best upgrade for my situation which is towing a 10,000# travel trailer. Since big brother maybe monitoring this site I'll not post it or place it in my signature. Thanks again!
