Ok fellas, I'm planning on buying BD Step 2's and a PE Comp. What kind of power can I expect to see from this combination on an ETH

I'm also kinda worried about EGT's, but on a lower setting they should stay in check. With the stock inj. and EZ it peaks at about 900* pre-turbo.

Any comments / concerns about this combination are greatly appreciated.

BTW: I know I need a bigger clutch. Got that covered :D

Well, I don't have either, 'cept the ETH, but I'll comment anyhoo. The Edge EZ was my first power mod (you have that included in the Comp. box) and it really made a huge difference. Somewhat later, I added the BD step 3 injectors. Again, a nice power gain. The step 2's should be a good compromise, if smoke concerns you. I'm running with the BD step 5's now, they really push the envelope, can't see much need for another fueling box, but I have the TST installed if the need for speed exceeds the injectors, I usually run with the TST box off. If I was to do it again, I would just have the Edge Comp and the steps 5's, neater package IMHO, may swap out to the comp. box at a later date.

Do your truck a favor, check your fuel pressure before you add either the box or the injectors, whatever psi's you are now seeing will be somewhat lower with the fueling enhancements. As you have already stated, that stock POS clutch will be toast in no time, swap out to something better.

The Edge EZ and BD step 3 injectors gave me 366 RWHP on the dyno. You should be happy for a while with your listed combo.

My egt's are still on the low end, usually never go above 1100 pre-turbo on WOT runs, check my sig.

Happy BOMBing

I thought about upgrading to the comp box but the nice people at Edge told me due to the differences in the pump on the ETH I would be better going to bigger injectors ( I already had the EZ). This was when the comp box first came out. That shows alot of class when someone won't sell you a product and tells you what will work better:D.

Thats what I was wondering. Would it be better to go to say dd2's, than up grade the box? Only problem is dd2's=$400-500, upgrade to comp. only $175.

Hey, thanks guys! As soon as I get moved, I'm going to get a set of Step 2's in the mail, and may upgrade my EZ to a Comp. Still haven't decided on that one yet.

Either way, oughtta be FUN :D :D :p
