Happy Holidays

Anyone know much about Weimeroner dogs?

This morning some of the radio stations played the orginal tapes from the radio when Pearl Harbor was attacked. Gave me chills hearing it. Hopefully, December 7, and September 11 will never happen again.

I visited the Arizona in 1957 and the feeling still is with me, as all the lives lost who were not given a chance to live. Just like the WTC lives lost. I get chocked up when I think about the CIA operative who was killed and the other from the bomb. They are doing what they are trained to do in order for us to be free. And I for one very much appreciate it. God bless them all!

I toured the Arizona Memorial in 1996 when we pulled into Pearl during RIMPAC. I got an eerie feeling, and I can only hope that our current leaders can finish the job this time so nothing like Pearl Harbor, or 9/11 ever happens again

Nothing...

will grab you like a visit to the Arizona Memorial. I first saw her in 1954 when my ship entered Pearl to offload ammo. As we passed, everyone on deck came to attention and saluted. Wife and I then visited the new memorial which was just finished, I think in 1980. We stood on the memorial bridge and looked at that broken lady, able to see her entire shape and big gun turrets under water, and watched the bubbles of fuel oil still rising to the surface from her tanks. We then walked up to the wall that contains the names of all those who died aboard, and all those still aboard. I could not keep from crying like a baby, thinking of what a horrible death these shipmates suffered.

Please, everyone, if you can, visit this honorable monument to the military, and "Remember Pearl Harbor". You will leave with a real understanding of what the military means to our freedoms.
