Cannot find ANY discussion about replacing the pedal bushings, (on my 1995, 5spd, diesel 2500), . Please help. Does it take 4 or 6 4294639 bushings, is there nowhere to buy a new shaft, pn#52077902? And any 'how to' videos?

I did mine once before and they need it again. I don't recall how many it took, 2 for each pedal and 1 for pivot points on each end of shaft.
Summit racing has them for $4.99, moparpartsgiant.com has them for $5.26

The Shaft shows to be a discontinued part.:(
I found one piece of info that said 6 req'd but Mopar sells them in 4 packs..!? Which is right? But more importantly.. at least to me, is some detailed description, or video(s) to show the specifics of getting up in there and pulling out the shaft. Mine has the 'left' bushing gone and that end of the shaft bouncing around in the mount hole, (and. no doubt. wearing the crap out of the bracket).. and I can't even see the left end 'E' Clip, but there is still some 'dirt' that needs to get cleaned off. I also heard' that those clips are not a 'normal' size and need to be Mopar.. (special?.. metric?).. 04103262 (?) I'll take all the info I can get. Thanks in advance.

I guess I need to look at mine. I've never replaced them. A "how to" with some pics would be helpful when you get around to doing it.

I would suggest removing the assembly and doing it on the bench.
I withdraw my suggestion. After searching through some of my old posts on my transmission swap, I remember how difficult it was to remove the assembly without removing the dash. Pull the clip holding the pin and pull it out. If I remember correctly, those bushings are plastic, right.

Yeah, plastic, and not very 'substantial'. (Thin and cheap looking). I got 4 from local Dodge for $32.16 next day. I got the knee bolster off and crawled around in there today, and it seems only the 'left' bushing is gone. (The outer clutch pedal side). The 'E' clip is missing and the one outer bushing is gone. I tried to squeeze a new one in, and although you'd think with all the extra metal to metal wear that's prob been going on for a few years, there'd be 'extra' room for the new bushing, but of course not. It went in about half way before I quit swearing and went back inside where it's warm. .. But even at that the pedals seem much less 'floppy', and the other bushings seem to be in place and OK, so tomorrow I'll make some kind of thin bushing out of metal to use as a driver and try to get it in all the way. (Although how I'm going to hit it with anything is still a mystery I'm working on. Perhaps some kind of prying device from the side). I asked Dodge for the E clip and it's $14.15.. for ONE.. pn# 04103262. (The shaft, pn# 52077902, is not available anywhere I could find). I saw one video where a guy had the whole bracket out of the truck. Interesting, but I'm not about to take that out. Wish I had specs on the shaft. I will try to find an E clip at the hardware store, but also heard that 'standard' E clips are off a bit.. (Of course they would be). They're probably metric or something. &^%%&*^*(*&^ At least I'm headed in the right direction. Oh.. I pushed on the shaft to see if it would push out (to the right), to see if it's possible to get it out and change all the bushings.. It didn't budge... so that ain't happening. Attached a couple pics from one of the videos I found... and Here's link to the best video I found so far.

Wow.. I'm not sure why everyone thinks these aren't available. (I didn't notice when that thread was dated). Dodge had them, Summit has them, Moparpartsgiant has them, and Rock Auto has them..Just Google up Mopar 4294639. (I got 4 from Dodge, next day, for $32.16). Ordering from online sources.. you'd wait a week, and $5 to $7 each plus ? $10 shipping and it's $35 + anyway (for 4).. so why wait.. Call local Dodge.. Having said that, I'm also sure the ones this guy made are much better than the stock ones, so... I would have bought them from him. But another personal observation. These things are so thin that even Delrin is still going to wear out, (especially the left one where the clutch is being pushed 4 times more than the brake), so ideally, If I had the bracket out, I make new ones from Silicone bronze. In fact McMaster Carr has flanged bushings, some with 'channels' for graphite grease, and I'd try to find some of those and modify if necessary. (probably too thin to have channels, but I'd look). I think I may have lucked out, and only my left bushing is missing, so I'll be working to get that new one in today.. but winter is here.. and it's cold..
And, just for clarification, I'm pretty sure, Auto trans, (w/ one brake pedal), requires 4 bushings and Manual trans, (w/ two pedals), needs 6 bushings.

I just went back and checked, that thread was from 2013.. Maybe the stock ones weren't available then, but they are now. One guy suggested 'Oil-lite' bushings. They wouldn't work. They're porous (to retain oil), and brittle and wouldn't hold a 'flange' so thin. That's why I'd chose silicone bronze.. If I was rebuilding a truck.. (It looks to be a major chore to get that whole bracket out). At some point, someone need to manufacture some of the shafts. Can't get those. # 52077902.

If it came to a major rebuild of the assembly, I think I'd make the OD holes in the pedals and brackets a bit larger to be able to use Derlin or a bronze type. Anyone with a metal lathe could turn the shaft when given the specs. I've got a small metal lathe for making bushings and other items to maintain my tractors. Learning curve to it, but well worth it! Have made some keep sake items for family and friends. Hope you find the e-clip you need. HF has an assortment box with odd sizes in it. Stop in and maybe p/u a pair of calipers to help in knowing what size you need if you don't already have a pair. Real handy for this type of thing.
